A new visitor and information centre has been official inaugurated at the Teide National Park. The new centre is 12,000 square metres and is super modern and boasts the finest facilities. It is also set to be a magnificent benefit to people of the local area and will provide lots of invaluable information for everyone to use and enjoy. The new building houses administration offices, meeting rooms, exhibition halls, conference rooms and an information centre.
The second floor is designed entirely for one of the most spectacular views that people could ever wish to see. A viewing platform of Mount Teide and its surroundings makes this building much more than an information centre but a place where you can truly appreciate the area in all its glory. It is hoped the centre will also provide tourists with all the information that they need to learn about the area and the best places to explore.
The building, which is extremely stylish and user friendly, is a great base to get any information from the people in the know. Guests at the opening included President of the Canary Island Government Paulino Rivero, President of the Tenerife Cabildo, Ricardo Melchior and Mayor of La Orotava, Isaac Valencia. There are high hopes for the centre and it is expected that it will help educate members of the public about the park in general and the great things that Tenerife has to offer. The second phase of the project is a botanical garden.
